Six months after a young woman called Julie Vinding disappeared from a Copenhagen suburb, investigator Jan Michelsen is the only one who believes she is still alive.
Episode 2
As Jan and Louise try to identify the person behind the kidnappings of the young women, Emma and Julie remain trapped in a basement.

Jan and Louise make a gruesome discovery in a farm that Anders Kjeldsen stayed at as a child. Emma and Julie try to escape.
Episode 4
Louise realises that Anders Kjeldsen does not kill alone but has a partner who is the dominant of the two. Emma tries to persuade Stine to help her to escape.
Episode 5
A dress belonging to the first victim Natasha is found, and it turns out that Anders Kjeldsen has kept it hidden. Stine is losing her mind.
Episode 6
Anders is officially wanted and Louise suspects he has a female partner. The three women in the yard are identified and police realize where the women may have met their killer.
Episode 7
Stine is arrested, but she pleads guilty and claims she is also Anders Kjeldsen's victim. Emma and Anders are still gone.
Episode 8
Jan and Louise find a corpse, and Louise is convinced that Stine's family is in danger. The tracks lead them to a secure house where police have located Stine's parents and brother.
