Episode 1
Sul Hee is a hardworking single mother raising her bright middle school daughter, Mi So, on her own. Kyung Chae plans to bring Tae Kyung into Mingang Distribution as a management specialist, but her sister Soo Jung is determined to reach him first and steal the spotlight. Tae Kyung meets Se Ri on his flight back to Korea, and once he lands, he begins searching for a man named Jo Pil Doo.
Episode 2
Sul Hee and Tae Kyung run into each other due to an unexpected accident. Tae Kyung mentions that he is searching for someone, and Sul Hee feels bad about leaving him alone at the hospital. Meanwhile, Kyung Chae explodes at the news of Se Ri's return, and Se Ri takes her anger out on an innocent.
Episode 3
Mi So puts Se Ri in her place for causing trouble. Kyung Chae needs to find Tae Kyung before Soo Jung does, and Soo Jung tries to get Sun Jae on her side. Tae Kyung gets a call from a detective, and Sul Hee congratulates him when she hears the news. Meanwhile, Se Ri makes a call and plans her revenge.
Episode 4
Sul Hee is devastated to find Mi So all beaten up, and they rush to a hospital. Mi So refuses to tell her mother about what actually happened to her. Se Ri begs Kyung Chae to come back to her, and Kyung Chae consoles her in return. Meanwhile, Tae Kyung becomes worried about Sul Hee when she doesn't show up.

Bo Ram and the cafe owner help Mi So out, and with their help, Sul Hee searches high and low for the assailant. Tae Kyung is surprised to find out who Se Ri is. Meanwhile, Kyung Chae and Sun Jae try to cover up the case, and Sul Hee becomes flustered when she sees the assailant identified by the police.

Sul Hee struggles to discover the truth behind her daughter's assault, but the case has become overly complicated. Still, she gets one step closer to the truth. Kyung Chae runs into Tae Kyung at an unexpected place. Meanwhile, Tae Kyung revisits Pil Doo's house to ask about his parents' accident

Mi So is upset about Bo Ram and the coffee shop owner ignoring her calls, and seeing her upset makes Sul Hee even more determined. She looks high and low for evidence to right the wrong, and she might have a lead. Tae Kyung and Kyung Chae finally meet to talk business, and he makes a proposal.

Sun Jae visits Mi So in the hospital to coax her into covering up the assault, and Sul Hee freezes when she sees him. Left on her own, Se Ri calls Soo Jung out of frustration, and Soo Jung manipulates her sister into telling her the truth. Meanwhile, Tae Kyung goes to Pil Doo's neighborhood again.
